Poetry
Some of these poems reflect darker and sadder aspects of life as we experience it. Such feelings are given prominence in 'Goodbye My Friend', 'I Shall Not Return', and 'Centre of My Universe', whilst 'My Light, My World' was indeed occasioned by the recent passing of the author's beloved wife and soulmate. But this feeling is tempered by the anticipatory themes of 'Exodus' and 'Awakening' whilst the theme of love, in its various forms, is also recorded.
Fantasy
A cottage in the woods. Rumours of a witch. And two curious teenage girls, eager to get to the bottom of the mystery. Behind the door of the cottage lies a whole other world. But as the girls dig deeper, dark secrets from the past rise up to challenge what had begun to seem a delightful new adventure.
Poetry
Farflame has as its sub-title 'Resistance' indicating a general theme in the poetry of fighting on, struggling through and striving to survive. Not every single one of the poems cleave to this theme, but the vast majority do.
Fantasy
As far as Nicholas Farraway is concerned, his first year and a bit of death has been a distinct disappointment; as is Heaven itself. He has so many questions: such as why are angels so arrogant; Why are there no children; and why does he work in surveillance if G-d is supposedly all-seeing?
Poetry
The poems in Million Miles Away address the eternal themes of love, nature, religion, despair, and occasionally the poet's favourite, insomnia. But they do so with a unique voice, both Indian and modern, creating a blend that is manifestly different from poetry in Europe and the Americas. Beautifully illustrated with photographs by Sanuj Goswami.
Poetry
Phoenix is a collection of over 60 poems by Grey Wolf, covering a quarter century of writing. Most are illustrated with beautiful photographs from around the United Kingdom, including many taken in the picturesque Swansea Valley, as well as others from the North of Scotland.
Poetry
Poeticus is a collection of poems written by Grey Wolf in the period 1990 to 1993. It is a mixture of personal and humorous, political and satirical works.
Poetry
A recurring theme to be found within these poems is a distinct distrust of the monolithic State and all its attendant media mouthpieces. Yet also there is an unshakeable belief in the enormous power and potential of the individual.
Poetry
The body of work in this book is meant to represent the journey of life: from birth where everything seems so fresh and innocent, to the coming of age , then transitioning into adulthood, where the meaning of life is explored in depth, then comes the golden age, and finally, the cycle comes full circle with death.
Travel
A day to day account of the things the author did, the things he ate, but most of all the people he met when visiting Bangladesh for a holiday. It was like stepping back in time, with none of the modern appliances.
Poetry
Poems inspired by a journey we have all encountered; finding our way back from despair tests our human resolve. But there is light, even in our darkest hours, and it is then, love shines the brightest.
Poetry
The thoughts that make up this book are also similar leaves hanging on after the Autumn - seeds of mentation left behind long after he mind has been beaten to numbness... Words that do not want to wither away despite all efforts to erase them.
Poetry
Poetry in memory of the author's mother, illustrated with photographs by the author, with a cover from a specially-commissioned in memoriam painting, by Derek Roberts .
